The Michigan Hispanic Collaborative (MiHC) focuses on economic equity and provides opportunities for first-generation Hispanic students to graduate from college. La Puerta will help our first-generation Hispanic college scholars navigate the complex higher education systems and connect them to resources that will shepherd them to, through, and beyond college.

La Puerta will offer our young professionals scholars with the following resources to ensure that they have access to the necessary tools to jumpstart their careers post college graduation:

• Corporate internships/full time positions
• Mentorship and career exposure
• Partnerships and events with Hispanic Professional organizations (ALPFA, SHPE, Prospanica) and Hispanic employee resource groups
• Networking and leadership development events
• Career development
