Jimmy Walker

Jimmy Walker is the Advisory Leader for the Michigan offices. He has more than 20 years of
professional services experience, including extensive international experience providing advisory projects
across numerous Fortune 1,000 companies. Jimmy has developed C-Suite relationships and brought
KPMG’s cross-functional capabilities to these clients that span from strategy projects, business and IT
implementation solutions, risk consulting services, as well as transformational leading practices that help
improve business outcomes.

Jimmy started his career at KPMG Argentina. Given that he is bilingual in English and Spanish he was
assigned to multiple international advisory projects across Latin America (e.g., Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and
Argentina). Concurrently to working at KPMG Argentina, Jimmy was also an Assistant Professor of two
senior courses at the Argentine University: “General Management”, and “Business Strategies”, where he
taught for five years. In 2003 Jimmy participated in the Global Mobility program and was selected to be
part of the team to help build the advisory practice in Detroit.

Jimmy specializes in the overall coordination and management of global internal audit engagements and
operational projects for Fortune 1,000 companies and privately-owned clients, including outsourcing, co-sourcing,
and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) support. Jimmy’s breadth of advisory experience also includes
performing strategic risk assessments, implementing balanced business scorecards and other management
information systems, reengineering, and redesign of business processes including business risk
assessment, process analysis, and improvement, mergers, and acquisitions, development of continuous
monitoring tools, enterprise risk assessments, aligning process objectives to business strategies, fraud
identification and prevention, and benchmarking. This has included running operational reviews and
financial restatement support at a Fortune 50 company.

Jimmy earned his Bachelor in Business Administration from the Argentine University, is a Six Sigma
Green Belt from the University of Michigan, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified in Control
Assessment by the IIA, and a graduate of Georgetown University – KPMG’s Latin American Executive
Leadership Program.

Jimmy currently serves as a Board member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants
(MICPA), a Corporate Advisory Board Member (and former president) of the ALPFA Michigan chapter
(one of the largest Latino associations in the US focused on developing Latino Leaders), and a board
member of KPMG’s National Hispanic Latino Resource Group National.
